The Hyundai Tuscon is a compact crossover sport utility vehicle produced and marketed by Hyundai Motor Corporation. It is slotted between Hyundai Veracruz and Santa Fe SUVs. It has been one of the most popular models for Hyundai, with one million units sold. It was first introduced in 2004 as 2005 model.
The 5-door SUV model is offered in either four wheel drive or in front wheel drive.
First Generation (2004-Present)
The Hyundai Tuscon is designed based on the platform of Elantra. It is offered in three trim versions, the base model GLS, SE and up-level Limited. The standard features equipped in the initial Tuscon model include premium cloth seats, CD player, air conditioning, cruise control, alloy wheels, 6-air bags and remote keyless entry.
The standard engine to the Hyundai Tuscon includes a 2.7 liter V6, while it offers 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine as optional. Apart from the wider exteriors, it also offers various interior design styles.
The standard safety features in the model include curtain air bags for side impact protection for rear and front passengers, torso side impact air bags and dual stage frontal impact air bags. Apart from various safety features it is also equipped with advanced comfort features.
